The Sweeney's Are Here!

The Sweeney's got here tonight! They are here for Thanksgiving and then for a weekend at Disney!! Reilly was SOOOOO excited - she talked about it all day.

Reilly attempted to sleep with the girls, but after about an hour and a half we had to move her into our bed so they would sleep. But it was cute while it lasted! ;-)

Savannah Trip

We just got back from a weekend trip to Savannah with the Gold's. Reilly and Mason stayed with their grandparents (Thanks Trudy!), but Layla and Brooke came with us. At this age they travel so easily! We weren't good at taking pictures, but here is one of Brooke preparing for the cold weather:

Brooke - 5 Weeks Old

Brooke is 5 weeks old today. We are having a nice day at home. Mommy works while Brooke sleeps, then we hang out for awhile. Brooke just had a good spit-up, so we had a nice bath and Brooke is calm and relaxing in the swing. I thought she looked so peaceful that I took a quick video. It is not very exciting ;-), but I thought the out-of-towners would appreciate it.

Daddy Day!

Daddy took Reilly to an event this weekend, "The Man in My Life." They worked together to learn all about different science experiments.



Afterwards, the moms met up with the dads and we went to lunch. Here is a picture of Reilly with Mason and Marek waiting for a table at Chilis.

Magic Kingdom

In preparation for the Sweeney's coming to town next week, we bought our annual Disney passes this weekend. We decided to go for a half-day to the Magic Kingdom with the Gold Family to kick off the year. Here is a video of Reilly and Mason on their first rollercoaster. It is dark for the most part, but the commentary is funny, so worth watching. "Yeah, I won't be scared....Can I go again?"



Reilly LOVES pirates, so we have been telling her about the Pirates of the Caribbean ride for awhile now and she has been excited. Well, this picture shows that she didn't love it so much. She covered her eyes the entire time!



It was Brooke and Layla's first time at Disney. Here we are waiting for the parade to start. Reilly and Mason were both very excited. Luckily Brooke and Layla were on the same eating schedule!



We are looking forward to our next visit!!

1 Month Old

Brooke is one month old today!

We went to the doctor on Tuesday (or was that Wednesday?!? - the days are blending) and she weighed 10 pounds, 14 ounces - up 2 pounds from her birth weight, exactly on target from where she should be. She has really bad "newborn congestion" which can keep her up, and means she needs to sleep upright, but other than that she is healthy and happy.





Mike makes fun of me when I compare...but I'm going to do it anyways. :-) Here is Reilly at one month old:

The Harris' Have Been Tagged

Apparently, bloggers are getting "tagged" now. Does that mean we are tech geeks? Or could it be cool? ;-) Not sure. In any case. Thanks to our good friend, Alison over at A, B and Baby C for tagging us!



7 Weird Things About Catriona

1. I played the trombone in my high school marching and jazz bands (maybe not weird, just geeky - ha)

2. I am one of six girls (its a millennium family, but six none-the-less)

3. For the few people who don't know this, Mike and I had one of our first dates at O'Reilly's - hence the name of our oldest daughter!

4. I read every book in the Babysitter's Club series when I was a kid - I LOVED them!

5. I took Irish Dancing for several years (before it was made popular by River Dance)

6. My favorite class in college was the one that I got the worst grade in. It was a Jan Term class called The End of the World. The teacher didn't think I was creative enough

7. I have been to 3 NFL games - the first two were playoff games and I was on the field

Brooke's Brunch

Yesterday we had a brunch to welcome Brooke to the world. Many of our friends and family came to celebrate with us - it was a wonderful day. We are lucky to be surrounded by a great group of people.

I think Reilly may have enjoyed the bounce house and cupcakes more than Brooke though ;-)

Grandma Shabbat

Today was Grandparent day at Shabbat. All the in-town Grandparents came and sang and danced with the kids. Trudy was there with Reilly - here are some pictures she took.

Update and Pictures

No real update this week. Brooke is three and a half weeks old and doing great. She wakes about every 3 hours at night, and goes back down wonderfully - much to our happiness. Fingers crossed that continues.

Reilly continues to love her baby sister and asks where she is at all moments. She loves her very much and is becoming very good at understanding her needs.



Reilly got this great "chia pet" thing from Sebastian's Nana - and today discovered that the hair had grown. She LOVES it!
