Trick or Treat

Reilly has been so excited for Halloween and her pirate costume. Of course, she was very hyper as the evening drew near and it took awhile to get her in her costume ;-). But once we did, she was super excited. The kids started ringing our bell and she enjoyed passing out candy. Then, we got Brooke dressed and managed to get one picture of them together before Reilly ran off to collect candy. Oh well, next year we'll get more pics of the two of them :-)

Friends!

We were so excited when we found out Brooke would be only a couple months younger than Layla Gold. Reilly and Mason are such great friends that we know Layla and Brooke will be too. Right now they seem like they are so far apart, but that will not be the case for very long!

Kissing Goodbye

Reilly loved that we took a picture of her kissing Brooke goodbye. When she got to school, she had Mike show the picture to her teacher. So, today as she was leaving she said "take my picture." How could we not? ;-)

Reilly loves her baby. Brooke is the first thing she asks for in the morning and when we pick her up from school. She loves to kiss and hold her. Here she is this morning saying goodbye before school.

Halloween Party at the Animal Farm

Today we took the girls to a horse farm. Reilly loved seeing all the animals, taking a hayride to the "spooky barn," picking out a pumpkin and doing arts and crafts. She was going to wear a lady bug costume - but it was too hot (ONLY in Florida!). Brooke was along for the ride and got lots of attention from all the people.

PARTIES!

We had two parties today. The office had a Halloween potluck today, so I took Brooke in for the festivities. Then we headed over to Reilly's class for a class party - here are a couple pics!

Brooke's First Bath

We gave Brooke her first "at home" bath last night. Surprisingly, she didn't mind it too much. This was a surprise to us, because Reilly hated her baths. Maybe she didn't hate it because we learned a few lessons on Reilly - like leaving warm wash cloths on the body parts that aren't being washed. In any case, she liked it!

1 Week Old - Playing with Reilly

Brooke is one week old today. Reilly is home from school for a holiday, so Mommy is hanging out with them both. Brooke went to the doc yesterday for her check up, she has jaundice, so we have to go back today to check her levels. She has also lost a pound, so Mommy and Daddy took turns getting up every two hours last night to feed her.

Reilly wanted Brooke to play with her toys today...so here they are playing together. Reilly is being a great big sister.

Brooke is doing great at home. She is sleeping and eating like a champ. Reilly couldn't be happier with her baby - she wants to touch her and hold her and play with her all the time. Mommy and Daddy couldn't be happier with her reaction.

Reilly Welcomes Brooke to the World

Welcome to our new family blog! We decided to create a new one that is for the entire family. As most of you know, Brooke Daylan Harris joined us on October 14th at 3:14 p.m. She weighed in at 8 pounds, 13 ounces and 21 inches. Reilly just loves her and couldn't wait for her to come home....she wants to hold and kiss "my baby" all the time. Here are a few pics from Brooke's first three days of life.
